Job Summary:

Since 1963, IRCO Automation, a privately held Canadian company has been designing, engineering and manufacturing integrated welding automated solutions and weld positioning products, with over 18,000 projects installed worldwide.  The company’s client base includes many Fortune 1000 companies in the Oil/Energy, Defence, Mobile Equipment and Structural Steel sectors.

The Project Engineer’s key responsibility is to work with the Sales Application Engineer, Designer, Electrical/Controls and Production teams to ensure measurable on-time and on-budget engineering process once orders have been received.  Custom design projects typically have a degree of complexity and uniqueness which will appeal to candidates who enjoy the challenge of bringing together analytical thinking, solid decision-making and engineering excellence. 

Work Experience

  • At least 5 years progressive experience in an industrial manufacturing engineering environment
  • Acquired practical proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, controls, robotics integration
  • Knowledge of weldments, CWB standards and heavy deposition welding will be an advantage


  • Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, Excel and project management software
  • Understand the balance between being a team player and how to take responsibility, accountability and leadership
  • Engineering degree, P.Eng

Job Summary:

The Machine Builder's primary focus is to assist in the manufacturing of the parts, subcomponents, and assembly of machinery as required. Machine Builders will be responsible for the complete assembly process, as well as maintaining and refurbishing equipment being assembled, manufactured, rented or serviced by the company. Shipping/receiving, machine painting, and other general labor around the shop will also be a part of this role.
